Tag/Day 2.1 auf der/on ASTOR in Hamburg, Germany

Hamburg wacht auf. Und mit mir sind ca. 25 Shipspotter, die die Ankunft der QUEEN MARY 2 erwarten. Diejenigen, die auf unseren Kreuzfahrtdirektor gehört haben kommen alle zu spät: just als die QUEEN MARY 2 gerade vorbei ist.



Hamburg woke up. And with me about 25 other ship spotters which were waiting for the arrival of QUEEN MARY 2. Who was listening and following the Cruise Director came too late: just when QUEEN MARY 2 passed us they showed up.

Und da ist sie schon. Zuletzt habe ich sie ja erst in New York vor ein paar Tagen gesehen und davor hatten wir ja erst die Tandemfahrt mit der QUEEN ELIZABETH.



There she was. I just saw her few days ago in New York and then before on the tandem sailing on QUEEN ELIZABETH.























Es gibt weder ein Hummel, Hummel noch ein Horn von der QUEEN MARY 2. Vermutlich halten sie uns für einen Ausflugsdampfer... (was ja ausnahmsweise auch mal stimmt...)



We had no Hamburg greeting nor a horn signal from QUEEN MARY 2. I assume that they thought that we were a port cruise ship... (which was true that day...)











Zwischen den Rettungsbooten dürfte unsere nächste Kabine auf der QUEEN MARY 2 sein... Bloß auf der Steuerbord-Seite.



Between the lifeboats there should be our next cabin on QUEEN MARY 2. But on the starboard side.





















































So it should be possible to take pictures of the Statue of Liberty from our balcony on the way to Southampton on January 3, 2014. On December 31, 2013 we would like to fly to New York City to spend New Year's Eve on Time Square.



So müsste es möglich sein, am 03.01.2014 von unserem Balkon aus die Freiheitsstatue aufzunehmen, wenn es nach Southampton geht. Am 31.12.2013 soll es dann nach New York gehen, um dort Silvester auf dem Times Square zu verbinden.
